Who We Are
PROBUS is a local and international network of clubs that offers retired and semi‑retired professionals and business people regular opportunities for fellowship, guest speakers, and social activities. The name PROBUS—drawn from Professional and Business—reflects the diverse backgrounds of members who have transitioned from their careers into an active, engaged retirement.
The purpose of the club is to provide regular meetings, guest speakers, programs and activities for retired and semi-retired persons with similar interests. Because many of its members may already be active in service to the community, the activities of the club shall be directed solely towards acquaintance, fellowship and learning.
Monthly Meetings
Meetings take place at the Alliston Legion Branch 171 on the last Monday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm (except in December), featuring club updates, a guest speaker, and member social time.
INTEREST GROUPS
Interest Groups are member‑led mini‑clubs built around shared hobbies. Any member can start one, they meet regularly, vary in size, and usually have no cost or attendance requirements.
SOCIAL EVENTS
The Social Committee coordinates member-led outings—such as theatre, music, outdoor events, and dinners—offering opportunities for local excursions and shared cultural activities.
